On beef and dairy cattle, Imperial Pour-On controls Stable Flies (Stomoxys calcitrans), House Flies (Musca domestica), and Lice (Bovicola bovis, Linognathus vituli and Haematopinus eurysternus) and synthetic pyrethroid susceptible Buffalo Fly (Haematobia irritans exigua).

On horses, Imperial Pour-On controls synthetic pyrethroid susceptible Buffalo Fly (Haematobia irritans exigua) for up to 3 weeks and control of Stable Fly (Stomoxys calcitrans) for up to 1 week.

Imperial Pour-On contains Deltamethrin @ 15g/L. Deltamethrin belongs to synthetic pyrethroids, which resemble natural pyrethrin found in the pyrethrum plant. Deltamethrin’s effect on the parasite is mainly through contact and ingestion. Deltamethrin disrupts normal nervous system function in insects leading to paralysis and death. Deltamethrin is an antiparasitic ingredient used in veterinary medicine worldwide, mainly in livestock against external parasites (lice, mites, fleas, flies, ticks, etc.). It belongs to the chemical class of synthetic pyrethroids.

The protection period from Imperial will vary depending on the level of challenge and degree of resistance.
